Here are some examples of saws used for cutting

Drive gear (A) is known as imput gearGear being turned(B) is known as output gear.
The amount of teeth each gears have will affect the movement and speed of the gears. It can produce a range of movement that can control the speed.
To calculate Gear ratio, divide the amount of teeth from the imput by the output gear.
